Therapy

FOR HEALING & GROWTH

Therapy offers a space unique from other places in your life. It is a space where you can show up exactly as you are. In this space, we can slow down, look at all that you’re holding, and work to better understand what gets in the way of you living the life you want. In this space, you don’t have to carry your pain alone.

I strive to provide a space where we can build trust and sit together with your pain, as you share at the pace that feels right for you. I then incorporate the additional tools and techniques from my training in order to help you process trauma, work toward self-growth, and find healing.

I believe healing begins when people feel seen, feel cared for, and know that the human sitting beside them is sturdy enough to hold space for all that they’re carrying.

Psychotherapeutic Approaches

My approach to therapy is integrative, which means that I have knowledge and training in multiple therapeutic approaches. I utilize evidence based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic, and Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Informed therapy. For more details about EMDR, see Trauma Therapy.

An important part of my work is recognizing the harms of systems of oppression and centering the experiences of those who have experienced marginalization. I primarily work with folks who have been traumatized on an interpersonal/ relational level, and have also experienced systemic trauma while navigating the world as women, immigrants, disabled, LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC individuals.

I work hard to provide care that is culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
